In reply to the discussion: Mrs. Betty Bowers on Bluesky today: "Primary ALL of them." [View all]QueerDuck
(1,136 posts)33. No. It's better to focus our efforts and money on replacing Republicans with Democrats...
... rather than replacing a Democrat with a Democrat. Even after replacing these "undesirable" Democrats with "better" or more pure Democrats we would still remain IN THE MINORITY, and we would still not be able to control the agenda and voting in Congress.
Our primary focus should be on regaining control... and only then we will be able to indulge in the luxury of being able to "punish" the "imperfect" Democrats. (Keep in mind, that in some states and some districts, these "imperfect" Democrats are the best we can hope for and we're damned lucky to have them. Trying to damage or tarnish them only makes it easier for the GOP to flip the seat in districts or states that are toss-up or swing-districts.)

Texas seems to have an abundance of Democrats more than willing to vote against their own best interests.

And - it's suspected - who stuff the ballot boxes tighter than a tourist's belly after a 72-ounce Texas steak challenge.

What kind of wannabe spearer refunses to stand up for what 95% of his caucus wants?
