Hang in there. And thanks for this post.

A lot of us have been poor at one time or another, have had disasters befall us, and survived. I predict that you and yours will survive and prosper, that there will be a time when this period seems like a bad dream. Have faith in yourself and in your fellow humans.

This cold-hearted aberration that is today's America is the last gasp of the greed merchants; it will not stand; humane forces are even now gathering together, unifying in the sea of information that we now have available to us, taking shape as did the first life forms in the primordial soup.

My generation, the 60's generation (both by decade and by age) made some strides, but didn't quite make it to a self-reproducing stage. We were not exactly a failed experiment, but an aborted one. It's up to your generation to put us over the top, to slay the patriarchal monster and free the species to start actualizing its magnificent potential.
