Their touchstone is their hatred of the evil liberal boogyman.

They might flake off a bit by not voting this go round, but will come back in if we happen to have a full election in 2028 and there is a D nominee and our candidate gets the Gore, Kerry, Dean, Hillary, Biden treatment.
