There is too much at stake for members in terms of committee assignments etc to not caucus with one party or the other and particularly too much at stake for members of the party that currently controls Congress. The idea that a group of repubs is going to splinter off and not caucus with the repubs (thereby giving Democrats control of the House) is ludicrous.
