But for my self, I will not use AI as long as it is owned and controlled by oligarchs. Not even to make political cartoons with punch, or to make the equivalent of cat videos.

A rational society would be using computers to manage the ecology and the economy to assure survival and avoid catastrophe. I see NO indication that AI is doing this. At this point, all AI does is increase the wealth and power of some very sick people. And to kill. As long as this is the case, I will do nothing to legitimize the use of AI.

I've been coding for 40 years and worked on some really big iron. I automated a lot of processes. I used voice interface 30 years ago (when it was not connected to surveillance centers). I'm not against tech. I'm against power-mad psychopaths breaking the world.
