66. the way propaganda works

is that first it is disseminated

Obama claims that keeping 78% of the Bush tax cuts is a "middle class" tax relief.

Other people swallow this propaganda because there are very few voices saying "the Emperor has no clothes".

And even when those voices speak up, they are just shouted down and jeered back into silence.

Then the people who have swallowed the propaganda, repeat it as their own opinion.

Then it gets put on the radio so gullible listeners will believe it too.

In this manner, the lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has even put its boots on.

Especially when the lie benefits the powerful.

Does it make me happy that my homies on DU play a part in this farce?

Not in the slightest. Quite the opposite.

And THAT is my opinion. I see what I see.
