23. This would be the WRONG time to impeach ANY justices. Occupied

First, if I heard correctly, the reporter asked Jamie what the Dems might do regarding SCOTUS "when you have another trifecta." So he was talking about the future, not right now.

Second, I don't think the 2 seats Jamie was referring to as being "illegitimate" are the ones we would all agree are occupied by a certain pair that we love to hate. He was talking about the "political games played by MAGA Republicans" that resulted in Obama not being allowed to appoint a justice to fill a vacancy during his last 11 months in office and Trump then being allowed to appoint one at the very last minute of his 1st term. T and A were appointed long before that. They deserve to be impeached for their corrupt actions while on the court, but there was nothing irregular about the timing of their appointments.
.
Third, even IF we had the votes in both the House AND the Senate right this minute, this would be a TERRIBLE time to impeach ANY justices. Any vacancies on the Supreme Court that occur between now and January 20, 2029 would be filled by judges chosen by Trump (or Vance, if Trump drops dead before this term is over). I'm sure you would agree that's the LAST thing we would want.

As much as I would love to see T and A impeached and kicked out on their asses, that's not going to happen (if it ever does) until there's a Democrat in the White House again.
