(98,883 posts)actually hurt social security system, and should not have been done in the first place. It was never expected to be permanent
The Social Security payroll tax holiday, enacted in 2010 to put more money in consumers' wallets and stimulate the economy, was not extended into 2013.
Whose "wonderful" idea it was to take money out of the social security fund to pay for it, just like they did for wars based on lies, just in a different way
Anyway, the arguments you presented, and the lack of context, plus that you did not respond to the criticism until the next day made people wonder if this was not just a R/W talking point.
It should also be noted that regardless of what responses to your post are, I do not see the thread getting locked or hidden, which indicates that the post whether responders agree or not with it, is at least legitimate for discussion
but most important, you have responded in this thread against the critics, and that is what counts
