get more people involved in THINKING about how politics affects their day to day lives. And that should be a good thing.

In one of Trotsky's books on the October Revolution he mentioned how the entire population discussed and debated politics during the transition months between February and October. And that meant EVERYBODY had a take and, because of the Soviets, everybody had a voice. An INFORMED voice. The REAL left needs to look at this ignorance as an opportunity to start connecting some dots. I certainly don't expect the Democrats to do so. They're too invested in the system and divided government because it relieves them of responsibility to actually DO something about the dysfunction. And of course the Republicans will use it as an attack.
