68. I think it's uncanny. He's got real talent. It really gives you a feel of what AJ is all about.

And somehow I do admire him. My late grandfather used to say "There will come a day when people willingly will buy their own excrement from corporations." I often think about that when I read something about Jones. Somehow, the idea of making the excrement literal - or shall I say virtual ? - and thereby becoming rich strikes me as ingeniously all-american. It is, in essence, a corrupted version of the American Dream (if not the very thing itself!): Becoming rich by bullshitting your way through life and nobody ever mentioning it. And no particular skills needed - a truly grandiose career, equal-opportunity and yet meritocratic. Selling bullshit really is the trade of trades.

Also, I admire his sheer ability to talk for hours without ever saying anything. I think that the spoof I posted mocks that very well, too.

This post has gotten way too long. Why do I have so much to say about Alex Jones? And why am I writing it out to you? I'll just have dinner.
