To give up for that reasoning makes no sense. There are fewer cult members than normal humans. With his absence from TV and rallies, and 1/6, some of those cult members might be nearing the fence on him (they aren't ALL insurrectionists)--in addition, given that his rioters are going to jail while he golfs in Florida may also not be sitting well with a bunch of them. They may lose someone to COVID and tumble to his responsibility for that. These are people who are prone to believing what they are told. In a closed courtroom with a convincing prosecutor and normal people all around them, their willingness to be swayed may work in our favor.
