38. Well, I was kind of right last night...

It was actually more like -30F or more, -27F by the time I turned on the computer this morning, well after sunrise. Thank goodness for thermal drapes! It's about -5F right now and since clouds have moved in, they will hold in the cold so it might get to positive digits at some point but I doubt it. It's supposed to be about the same tonight.

Living up here where these temps are common in winter, I have collected over the years a number of down coats, sheepskin (think pile) fleece boots are best, and a couple snowmobile suits even though I don't ride those things. Down-filled hoods are best also, neoprene face mask, I don't get really cold when I do go out. Never use water based lotions or go out with wet hair in those conditions. Just have to be smart about it. And there are those hand warmer packets and foot warmer packets if you have to be out for any length of time.

Makes you plan ahead with groceries and such. I absolutely love it here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
