7. I think the key is to have an upfront-frank discussion with family..........

My understanding is that most people prefer to die at home surrounded by family rather than an ICU hooked up to ten different lines. And families that have had this discussion are better able to go through the grieving process. There was recently a show on Frontline that addressed this particular topic.
