102. I Listened To A Mother Of One Of The Sandy Hook Victims Yesterday Talk About HIPPA Law....

She indicated that HIPPA Law prevents us from getting adequate info on the shooter Lanza. I was hoping for an EO that addresses this law and allows that if a person is involved in a shooting incident where someone is killed - whether the shooter remain alive or dead - that all medical information be made available and is no longer protected by HIPPA. Essentially a person involved in such a crime loses their right to privacy.

We need to understand what is going on medically with these shooters. Are they being seen by medical professionals such as psychiatrists as being suspect for a mental health problem or being treated for a mental health problem.

Many people have made espoused the hypothesis that drugs that such people are being treated with might be the problem. Well - we need to be able to determine that and the only way we'll be able to do that is if this type of information is readily available.
