66. Henderson and Metro refuse to add dash cams

The video is actually from Nevada Highway Patrol, who initiated the stop. HPD just showed up to be helpful. Henderson cops are known thought the valley as being racist assholes. I've never had a problem with them, but I'm also a middle class white male. God forbid if you're poor or brown or in a poor or brown neighborhood, then your best bet might honestly be to run, whether you're doing anything wro or not. They also refuse to add dashboard cams, claiming alternately that it would be too expensive (though they want to raise the sales tax to give themselves a raise; they're already one of the highest paid police forces in the nation) or that it would "complicate prosecutions."

And lest you think I'm exaggerating or just hate cops: I've lived on this community for my whole life. The crime and corruption and nepotism and general incompetence pervades throughout most of the law enforcement here, and I've seen it first hand. In fact, in the 1990s Las Vegas Metro was ranked by the FBI as the most corrupt police department in the nation.

I honestly don't think the majority of cops would do this shit themselves, but virtually all of them would help cover it up.
