There were a lot of "fuck all guns" and "fuck the NRA" and such threads in the days after Newtown, so the system's a bit clogged with chaff, but you can poke around if you want.

There was an article in the "New York Post", where a legislative proposal for the state government to purchase all the assault weapons on the state (confiscation with compensation) was shot down as too expensive.
