33. I know that some pit bulls have been made killers by their owners

But I've never run into one. I find the three pitbulls I know to be slobbery sweet who all love to lay that massive head/jaw on any willing lap. One of them is owned by a guy who has a special needs kiddo and I swear that dog is extra careful with her. I may be imagining it, but I do know that the man in question worships his daughter and loves his pit bull and wouldn't let that dog anywhere near her if he didn't have full confidence.

If I weren't allergic to them, pitbull would be on my list of dogs to have. As is, my options are limited to Poodle, Labradoodle (with papers and the correct enzyme bred in) and chihuahuas.
