(26,034 posts)Bush blew any cover he might have had when he pulled the investigators out of Iraq because they didn't find WMD and then said Sadaam flouted the UN resolutions. Think his actions with continuing to read when it was obvious the country was under attack, and him putting the bin Ladens on a plane and not letting them be interviewed first were pretty telling. Also think it was telling that even 2 hrs. later planes were still flying with terrorists and the air force, which had a few seconds lead to get planes in the air was just then responding? Funny, the guy in charge was the same one who let W do political things and not report for duty for years when he was in the Guard, and he wasn't fired or even in trouble for this grave lapse. W also passed a rule that there would be no checking of anyone from Saudi Arabia coming to America, even when that country is a bastion and training group for terrorist. So several (think it was several, know at least 1 for sure) terrorist from Saudi ARabia who were on the terrorist watch list were allowed into the country with no questions.
So many smoking guns, so little investigation.
