My experience with this social experiment called Wishadoo! and engaging in service work for decades has shown me, time and time again, that the simple act of acknowledging others -- acknowledging THEM and their struggle -- means THE WORLD.
Even if people can't offer money or advice, we can acknowledge the person who had the courage to be vulnerable in sharing their situation. Knowing others care and are offering moral support is truly priceless.
Feeling alone and isolated may be the worst feeling ever. It's amazing how one's situation can change, however slightly for the better, once we know we're not alone.
I felt alone and isolated for many, many years, and I was determined to find a way for others not to feel that. Hence, Wishadoo!
So, please don't be sad. You're offering a tremendous gift by keeping these threads kicked and reaching out to the people to acknowledge them and their situation.
