The Allegiant link for this article says "Posted by Michael Caldwell on Feb 19 2013. Filed under Front Page, Humor."
I was about to post a link to this and quote in my local paper, but was suspicious that the Allegiant article provided no direct link, other than to a general page for NSON Opinion Strategy. I've designed political research polls myself, and no way in the world does anyone have the impossibly huge sample of 250,000. So I googled this claimed survey and the only links I found were ones quoting The Allegiant.
I will file this under too good to be true. It seems lately a lot of news sources and reporters have been taken in by Onion-type articles which were perceived to be true. Maybe you all knew right away it was a joke, but I was taken in until I did my own due diligence.
