You are certainly right about that. What alerted me even more is looking at videos of our fighters on Youtube. Even though they can do some really wild things, there were other posts revealing possible failings of these programs versus the Russian and Chinese versions of the same kind of fighter jet technology. It looks like neither of these two fighters can beat either the Russians or Chinese versions in a face to face dogfight. The only advantage the F-22 and F-35 might have according to analysts is range.

There is another sleeper. The Chinese have supposedly been developing a missile that can sink a carrier and has a range farther than any of our aircraft. It is like the same problem that our battleships had with the German battleships in WWII. Their guns were 18 inch and had 3 miles more in range. And that was a huge difference.

For one the arms race continues in earnest and the media ignores it. Our outsourcing is giving the Chinese access to almost all of our secrets. And they ARE getting ready.
