During the filming of "Cuckoo's Nest" in Salem I was the Broiler Chef at The Hindquarter restaurant on Commercial and Court. One night Michael Douglas and Louise Lasser had the table right in front of my open broiler. Douglas eating a NY and Lasser dining on stuffed trout...she kept returning it to be cooked some more...The third time it came back I was getting steamed and up walked Ken, a krazy grin stretched across his face, I will remember his words forever..."Jeff, that teriyaki sauce is the best I have ever had...and don't worry about her, she's a bitch to everyone! Go smoke one and shake it off!" Everytime I visit the plant and go into the office to pick up my bills, there is Ken, in the bus, watching over everybody! Thanks for the opportunity...
