I'm rereading Ann Charters great bio of Kerouac at the moment.
I got to see Kesey a few times when I lived in Oregon, a smart guy.
My oldest friend's sister was a hippie in the Haight Ashbury in the day and remembers getting loaded on the bus.
Those were some times. Ah, and the Fillmore.... I saw the Dead, Santana (before their first album), Jethro Tull, CCR,
It's a Beautiful Day, Paul Butterfield and many more there.
