and besides physical abuse there are a lot of jobs that involve a ton of mental abuse.

"The customer is always right" attitude means that a lot of the folks in customer service jobs take abuse from customers all day long. That is just one example.

I think the overall answer to all of this is to push for plentiful living wage jobs for all. Then if people want to set tiles, be abused by customers or do porn, it's up to them but there would be choices at that point.
