36. Depends on a lot of things...

...when I lived in San Jose a few years ago, AT&T had JUST finished installing fiber optics (and they were pushing the whole "UVerse" thing) about ONE WEEK before I moved. I was bummed OUT.

I then moved into a house in Santa Clara which (according to an AT&T tech who came out) was at "the end of the line." He pointed to the telephone pole in my back yard....sure enough, I was at the end of the line, which meant my DSL was the worst signal at the end of a long line of crap signals. He also told me my DSL had to be downgraded (they couldn't deliver the fastest speeds) because the wiring was so old.

Where I am now, it's somewhere in between. It's classified as Comcast's "Digital non-rebuild." Sometimes it works well, other times channels drop out. TV Land hardly EVER looks good. History Channel is 50-50. The rest are reasonably reliable.
