This is likely a result of the current COLA not accounting for the fact that seniors spend far more on healthcare than the CPI accounts for. Since the current COLA has not allowed them to keep up with healthcare inflation (a dramatically higher rate of inflation) then the chained CPI will accelerate what is already a very serious problem.

You heard right.
