Much of that work was done with subjects appearing in public spaces Any photographer will tell you that the mere presence of a camera will impact a scene. I am especially doubtful about the photos of her standing still in the middle of a busy downtown sidewalk. That alone would cause someone to react. If she had her camera set up on a tripod, she becomes that much more out-of-the-ordinary in that space. The shot with the officer, that looks like someone photobombing her picture, not making fun of her because of her weight.
I am not saying in anyway that large people are NOT looked at differently in public -- I have seen it first hand -- but I am not sure the photos are proving what she thinks they are in each case.
