(100,133 posts)I spit in Nixon's general direction.
Someone, maybe Hunter Thompson, said something to the effect that when the last frozen level of Hell had disgorged its occupants, then the ghost of Richard Nixon would once again walk the Earth. Something spooky and embittered like that -- sorry, I really can't do it justice.
I used to think there was no one I could hate as much as Dick Nixon. I was pretty impressed when my father-in-law, late into his 80's and sometimes losing his English (it was only his 3rd or 4th language), started talking about Nixon with me, and suddenly the old man was practically purple in the face and pounding the arm of his chair, and I am not sure what language he was using at that point, but
Nixon had been dead for decades at this point. I'm glad my FIL did not live to see Dubya take office.
Speaking of spitting, I have a friend who lives in the South who has to drive through Crawford to visit her mother and brothers. When Dubya still had his pig ranch, she would make a point of spitting out her car window as she drove through Crawford.
I'm wandering. Ahh. Perhaps a fantasy novella could be written about Dick Cheney's original heart being stolen from the medical waste bin to be used for blood magick. Talk about wish-fulfillment.
