It launched a military attack on a neighboring country with which it is not at war.

It has produced no evidence to back up the leaked assertions that it attacked a weapons system destined for a foe.

By the same logic, Syria could launch attacks on bases in Turkey or Jordan.

But I think the reaction would be different.
