(3,891 posts)All we are saying is that it happened a long time ago, that's all that Jay Carney said two days ago during the briefing.
The only people talking about it are MSNBC, which has the lowest viewership of the cable news, and is much less viewed than the broadcast news. When asked about Benghazi, why isn't Carney telling the story, over and over again, every day if that is what it takes? Instead we say it's Republican BS, but we don't explain why it's Republican BS where the press, and the people, can see it.
It was covered. Once, perhaps. Then on page 17 of the NY Times, or even farther back.
Carney should be shouting it from the rooftops every time someone mentions it. He should call on people just so he can get the message out.
The mistake? (I know it wasn't your reply but I'm not going to type long replies to everyone who demanded information while ignore the less intelligent who think I am an Alex Jones follower) The mistake was when in the first few days we said it was because of a video. That was the mistake. Yes, we acknowledged that mistake. Again, Carney should say whenever this is brought up the same information time and time again. When our side asks questions at the hearings, we should highlight that information, we made a mistake, and we acknowledged it on this date, and wouldn't you agree that if there is anything to learn it's about cutting funding for embassy security?
We aren't. We just say there is nothing here, time to move on. So the Meme get's going, and the people believe it is a cover up. Convincing those of us here isn't hard. We want to believe our leadership. The people out there are wondering, and all of those wondering are not RW racist homophobic hate filled folks. They are people who voted for us in the past, and if we want them to support us in the future, we have to work for it, and earn it.
