He was 13 when he entered Lakeside School. Prior to that he attended View Ridge Elementary School, which is part of the public school system in Seattle Washington.

And, while Melinda did not attend public schools, prior to high school she attended a Catholic School which was the equivalent of the ones attended by many working class Catholic families (including all of my spouses' families).
