my SIL & vice-versa. Then we discovered she's a R and I'm a D. Things changed after that for both my husband and I.

Then there's my sister who claims to be an I. Not true, she's a closet R. Her, I can deal with because she is just clueless and is not obnoxious about politics.

SIL on the other hand is in your face, even my husband thinks different of her since he found out. They were brought up D and the rest of them remain D. We don't even read her emails anymore because they are always R shit! She's not married so her change didn't come from that. But she has a highfalutin job in the medical field and all her co-workers seem to be R. Ugh!
