Interestingly, speaking of Mod Squad, there were quite a few known actors who played parts (from IMDB).

Julia Adams (Creature from the Black Lagoon)
Nina Foch
Gloria Foster (The Matrix)
Richard Pryor
Tyne Daly
Richard Dreyfuss
Fernando Lamas (who always looked marvelous)
Martin Sheen

And a myriad of other character actors who many would recognize immediately.

Thanks for the Mod Squad response. Never watched it much. But checking whether Julie London played a part brought me to a bit of a treasure trove on IMDB.
