In some urban centers, in some academic circles, in Hollywood, ALWAYS in the traditional MSM, and in the upper reaches of Democratic Party organizations. The hold this rather small group has is all out of proportion to their numbers and way beyond their ability to argue policy and effect legislative proposals.

But that culture of elitism is not fully understood, except as some of it can be explained by DU's acceptance of legitimized hatred and intolerance in the name of "compassion."

My god, they have a lot of leeway, esp. since the approach is primitive and smacks of The Scarlet Letter. And it is so obvious.

I'll say here and now that most DUers are sick of the "takeover" of GD by gun issues (and to some extent, dogs), and would like to see guns discussed in the TWO (2) groups formally established, and not the THREE (3) that have ceded.
