6. Never mind the vaccine, it took us days to find a place in the valley that would test my loved one

All the testing places wanted a drivers license or state id just to get Covid tested. We tried free testing sites and sites that charged to no avail. I finally found a community health care site that focuses on the undocumented and my spouse was able to get tested. We are still waiting for the results. I am very fortunate in that I work in health care at a local hospice and have been vaccinated, but my husband who is an essential worker and like so many other’s this past year, has risked his life because he needs his paycheck to help take care of our family. This virus does not discriminate and doesn’t recognize borders, but the state of Arizona, our legislators and Governor Ducey have responded to Covid with a completely myopic response and it’s getting the residents of Arizona killed and until we address the inequities of testing, we certainly won’t be able to mitigate this virus, vaccine or vaccine.
