All I saw last night was an explosive critique of the administration for what he called "militarism", a book I think was non-controversial on the 2012 election. What interested me more were allegations of the military using psychological operations on congress from 2011. The guy built his career on issues of military vs. civilian power, which is one of the underlying currents of the Snowden affair. If there was anything big he was researching, it would probably be in that area, though I don't know of anything specific. What I do know is we're in the era of bad timing. Bad timing for Snowden's leak with Obama meeting with China, bad timing for this, with people refocused on the journalists killed by military Bradley Manning leaked about, spying on journalists, people saying Greenwald should be arrested, and now this. Bad timing for an accident.
