In reply to the discussion: IRISH WRATH: Obama Destroyed & Called A War Criminal In Irish Parliament [View all]freshwest
(53,661 posts)204. I hear you. I sent this to a DU friend:.
Right there between :12 and :22. But like Val and Earle, there are people we care about here and elsewhere. So while the wind at our backs would feel good, we're not going to give up.
We can see that the 'damn things are under the ground' at Democratic Underground want to destroy what 'we the people' need, since they don't need it. The millions of people who need Obama to stand with them, instead his and our enemies, are not amused by these rantings, as they don't address the concerns of 'we the invisible.'
That FR post really did express the memes, including the racist ones. Posts are being hidden right now for being called 'racist,' when they mention that Obama's media detractors 'just so happen' to be white guys. They are the 1% establishment that lumps whole segments of the population together in their fuggitaboutit file. We the invisible aren't supposed to be seen, and we aren't supposed to heard. Well, fuggitabout that.
Claiming their mythical libertarian paradise, that comes in several varieties, but ends the government of we the people in every case, will magically provide equality, if the evil government would just get out of the way. They keep on denigrating those trying to work within a representative democracy by saying it's corrupt but are too exalted to work in that system to change it, as their 'freedom' must lie somewhere else.
Dirty laundry doesn't wash itself. Those of who do the dirty dishes and laundry have to get our hands dirty to do it, usually. No one is coming to clean up after us, as we are the lesser ones. Their philosophy of 'nothing government does is not good enough' didn't end slavery, didn't increase sufferage, labor rights and all the rest of the things we the invisible needed. Saying it doesn't matter, must mean one didn't need that. Oh, we see you, although you can't see us. Just because you are loud and used to running over others, we can still see you.
The mythology of no government is true freedom is a tried and proven failure that we've already seen in real life and been economically disadvantaged by it. People we know have had their lives shortened, their dignity taken away, but restored by Democratic programs wiseacres love to find fault with or call failures. I've posted the statistics, the success of those programs is unprecedented in history, but it's the quiet work that is invisible to media, just like us.
Those who have the luxury of contructing their philosophy, landed gentry and such, can wax eloquent on grandoise lofty ideas of civil liberties and not being messed with, when some of the big players in this world do need messing with, and not in sporadic outrage circuses, but at the ballot box. We the invisible have been messed with for a long, long time. So we have organized to protect our interests that are enshrined in the platform of the Democratic Party.
And we get called all kinds of names for it, but we know who is being attacked along with Obama and the Democrats. It's those they don't see and don't care about. Or else they'd stop claiming voting is worthless. Our votes changed the world. The world that is beneath these folks, invisible.
The GOP adores it, and now we have DUers using the exact same terms and on the same page, with a few caveats that don't mean a hill of beans in real life.
This 'but we're not racist' from Teabaggers, Republicans and Libertarians since Obama got elected. Then we get a serving of the exact same here at DU. Word for word. I've never called anyone who disagreed with Obama in policy a racist, but I don't give institutional, class racism and misogyny a pass, either. Because in real life, it doesn't give people I know about a pass.
We are not being served as progressives to ignore these things, but they are being derided and attacked here right now. Our president is the most fair minded leader we ever had in these issues, but our traditional ideas are crapped on. We the invisible see what is happening. If anyone thinks that Anonymous has a copyright on 'we do not forgive, we do not forget' they have not lived in a world that does not forgive us, although it has forgotten us and we see it.

It's a big world outside the US. There are billions of people living on this planet, only 300,000

True, an error, but the point stands. 3,000,000,000 makes us a small part of the whole

Nope. Attacking the first lady and kids exposed what she is really about: grabbing headlines.
