44. If you still believe that "we the people" are still the "government".

You are absolutely correct.

But I no longer believe that is the case.

I have zero respect for the financial moguls that call the political shots.

None.

Perhaps I do indeed disrespect our government. Or what is left of it. It certainly isn't the same government I grew up believing in. Not the same government that I served in the US Navy for. I once made an oath once to defend the Constitution. Now I only see constitutional mockery.

So you actually believe that the rest of the world holds the American government in high regard?

After our government failed to bring those that triggered world wide austerity to justice, you actually think the rest of the world thinks we are special?

Oh, we are special indeed. Every time a drone kills a child, the jihad extends another century. We are currently facing about another 12,000 years of holy war.

I'm sure the Europeans are lining up in droves to participate in the "cloud".

Really, really special indeed. (insert sarcasm emote here)

I would speculate that the rest of the world dislikes us more than at the peak of international dislike during W. Bush's term. I would speculate that the only reason the rest of the world hasn't already obliterated us is because we have a military second to none thanks to our "willingness" to fund it on the backs of the elderly, disabled, and poor.

Ponder this......

If we truly enjoyed world wide "respect", we wouldn't need to spend more on our military than the next ten countries combined.

It must be comforting to believe the rest of the world loves us.
