It doesn't matter that he got out of his car or that he followed Martin in the eyes of the law. It doesn't give Martin the right to jump out of the bushes and start bashing Zimmerman's head against the concrete.

I am not saying that is what happened. Everything before the 1st swing doesn't matter with regards to the self defense law.
