The capitalist mentality has a complete disregard for the intricate balance of nature and what makes all this possible in the first place. My hope is that these hard lessons somehow are not forgotten. But that may take the lifetime of who knows how many universes. Or maybe life isn't so cruel elsewhere. I'm not holding my breath but I like to think that somewhere some planet actually got it right. Because it's looking more and more that we won't before it's too late.
