36. As it happens, I can't imagine scheduling a vacation in Florida,

but that has nothing to do with recent events there.

I have been there several times in the past, and it was perfectly fine. I was last there perhaps 15 years ago, and it's just never again been on my travel radar.

There are 50 states in our country. At some point I've been to all but five of them, and there are many perfectly fine states I'm not very likely to visit, just because I have no reason to go there.

It's really frustrating when posters here make blanket, negative comments about an entire state because of the actions of a few. For those of you who are currently disinclined to go to Florida, that's fine, don't go. But unless you take out full page ads in local newspapers no one is really going to know. Or miss you.

As others have pointed out, the main people who are hurt are those in the hospitality industry. However, it's entirely up to you where you want to spend your vacation dollars.
