I think the cartoon, sans any real OP comment, is there for us to remark upon. It is a catalyst for discussion.

I think the conversation has already gotten interesting. A comment about gender bias (even though males are more likely to inflict serious damage--but it's not unknown for women to do so as well).

The OP just says "No (with a lot of O's)--I don't regard that as an "endorsement" of what is depicted.

I think it would not hurt to see where this discussion takes us.

Here's my view: I am not a fan of domestic violence, in fact, I oppose it vehemently--I just don't see the point in it. Of course, I am a family-oriented person who enjoys being around my relations and they feel the same way; I would no sooner want to hit any of them than stand on my head at midnight on a superhighway.

I did have a neighbor who pushed her husband down the basement stairs in a fit of anger--he sprained his wrist; lucky he wasn't killed. Another time she punched him in the face and took out his tooth. She was a big woman with a big temper, he was a skinny little guy who drank way too much. The police came, but I moved so I never found out how that all worked out. I often wondered if they worked things out--they elevated domestic arguing and violence to a very loud art. I also once lived near a guy who used to get drunk (booze seems to play a role often as not) and beat his wife every Saturday night. We neighbors would take turns calling the police, and the husband would take off and hide in the woods while the wife denied everything.
