This web site really needs your voice. And Whoops, am I not supposed to know that you're Canadian and a woman just like I'm not supposed to know who's black around here??? I don't think I will ever get over that... the SHOCK that the black posters on a web site that's like 98% non-black would actually know one another. If these folks so shocked could see some of the PM's that get sent... they'd understand well why most of us do know who is black. Hell, I think black folks reach out to one another so much on DU because so many of us feel similarly besieged here as we do in other places.

I hear everything that you're saying. But signing off for a few days doesn't do it for me anymore. And yes, the "eye opening stuff" you're seeing, I'm seeing too. And have for a long time.
