It seems some went along with them because they didn't know what to do. Many young women do just that because they are afraid to say something. I endured a lot of sexual harassment on the job from a higher up exec and said nothing about it because I couldn't afford to lose my job at that time. I just made a joke of the harassment to his face to deflect the advances. I'm sure if people saw that, they would say it was consensual on my part but it wasn't. It was a coping mechanism. I was a victim.
