GREENWALD: I've always said that this isn't about Snowden. And I've been constantly attacked for saying it. But I think it's important for me to keep saying it: this isn't about Snowden, and I'll keep saying it isn't about Snowden, no matter how much I am attacked. I've been pointing out these issues since long before Snowden approached me for my help in getting the story out -- in fact, I started pointing out that Obama is even worse than Bush on civil liberties even before Obama took office -- and, of course, I've been attacked for it, just as Snowden is now under attack. But this isn't about Snowden, no matter how hard my critics try to reframe the narrative. Snowden handed me a bunch of eye-popping documents, and right now I am planning another eye-popping story based on what I have. It's a story Obama doesn't want me to tell, and I will certainly live in fear of being tortured or executed if I tell it, just as Assange and Manning and Snowden all live in fear of being tortured or executed, although, of course, this isn't about Snowden
