When will corporations vote, just like other people? [View all]

Unlike many ordinary people, who squander money when they are feeling rich and who for some unknown reason are permitted to vote and thereby influence political events, corporations are careful money managers. If you know a person who employs a whole accounting department, then the odds are that the person is a corporation, rather than a featherless biped.

Corporations are skilled in the art of cutting costs. It is sometimes much less expensive to influence the political process and have regulations repealed than to comply with regulations.

In these bad economic times, we should all see the value in saving for a rainy day and praise those corporations that take their financial duties seriously.
