I shouldn't clump all the left into that sentiment and I tried to separate the two by specifically mentioning the DU left - which I do believe is out of touch with a great deal of the fight. The problem with the DU left, is that they don't seem to put as much emotion and anger into other issues. So, while they are passionate about Snowden and the NSA, when this fades over the next year, I am skeptical that same passion will then shift to other major issues that we're losing on every single daily.

What I'm saying is that if I had faith most here could transplant this anger and emotion to other issues, I'd feel inclined to ignore many of these posts. But this NSA thing has gripped DU unlike anything since the Iraq War, and unfortunately, many, many other issues are being ignored by many on the left.
