There is a cadre that have made the NSA the sole "issue" and to hell with everything else including the idiotic "Stop and Frisk" or Bloomberg's latest outrage - wanting to require that the poor be finger-printed to enter public housing, etc., where this, IMHO, goes well beyond any biometric technological upgrade. These "local" issues are deemed irrelevant.

There's alot of "tracking" going "locally" (e.g., purchasing allergy medicines in certain states where the driver's license is swiped to track how much is purchased per month) and it's happening in rethug-controlled states and alot of it thanks to ALEC.

There is a growing movement to neutralize ALEC and that barely gets a mention on DU anymore, if at all, now that the hysteria and faux outrage of "NSA" has become the leftist version of "BENGHAZI!!!11!1!11" and overtaken the board.
