If Snowden had the access he claimed, he could have changed the world by revealing actual communications of the TPTB, the 1%, or the corporate leaders, or the politicians, who enable them.

Those folks are using the same communications systems everyone else uses.

Snowden could have killed 2 birds with one stone.

By releasing the actual communications of "The Powers That Be", he'd shine a bright light on them, and on the scary programs all at the same time.

He and GG could be leaking those communications as the examples of how powerful the programs are.

For instance ... here on DU some one claimed that Obama had the local police crack down on the Occupy folks.

Really? Snowden should have been able to gather proof of something like that using the NSA programs against itself.

Snowden and GG should have a ton of documents that are not about the programs, but what you can gather from the programs ... and using it to destroy the real enemy ... the 1% who control it all.

But we don't see any of that happening.
