true generosity is fun also.

And I don't mean the type of generosity that one can claim on one's tax returns.

When donating to the Goodwill or whatever, we get a paper saying so, with a space there for claiming an amount we can use for deduction purposes. It gets thrown out. Is it really generosity if one can get something back?

I don't think so.

I have more now than I ever have before. I've given a lot away. Clothing that only got worn once, if at all. A few days ago Mr Pipi found a nice end table out in the shed that hasn't seen the light of day in years. We left it at the end of the driveway by the mailbox and when we came home, it was gone. Looking at the yard camera/monitor footage later, it was possible to see which one of the neighbors liked it enough to snag it. Felt great to make someone else's day.
